ArthurIL.com sprang into being in 1996 after a local downtown merchant saw a need to publicize, market, and inform people about a small beautiful town in central Illinois called Arthur. With its many festivals, great schools, thriving businesses, friendly locals, and many offerings there was a need to share these things with everyone else.
ArthurIL.com is a privately owned website that is funded and maintained by Amish Country Marketing located in downtown Arthur IL. The purpose of a website dedicated to Arthur IL was to inform people about what was going on in the Arthur area and well as give locals and visitors a place to keep up with current events as well as voice their opinions.
What started as a one page website with a little bit of information has blown into a website with over one hundred pages of information regarding Arthur. ArthurIL.com now has business and government information, information for people contemplating a relocation to Arthur, a free classifieds, calendar of events, contact information for almost all aspects of Arthur, and even a news and comments section for people to voice their opinion.
