AAEDC starts search for executive.
The Arthur Area Economic Development Corporation has started searching for a Community Development Coordinator to lead economic development and tourism effors in the Arthur area as well as coordinate volunteers and manage the Arthur Visitor's Welcome Center.
The position will be regulated by a joint board consisting of members of the AAEDC, the Arthur Association of Commerce, and the Village of Arthur. The CDC will have a office located in the Arthur Welcome Center and will answer to the President of the AAEDC.
Applicants are encouraged to have a degree or some work experience in economic development and well as community growth and public administration/marketing. They must be able to communicate well both orally and in written statements. All applicants must be trustworthy, self starters who work well with others. Computer skills are also highly recommended in order to manage various websites dealing with Arthur. The idea candidate would be a resident of Arthur or willing to become a resident of Arthur.
