A Water & Sewer Committee meeting of the Village of Arthur, Illinois was held on Sunday, March 21,2010. Chairman Matt Bernius called the meeting to order at 12:00 p.m.

Roll call was answered by Committee Member Matt Bernius. Committee Member Mike McWilliams was absent. Village President Ron Kingery, Trustees Terry Clark, Karen Good, and Iris Dicks, Village employee Jeff Mercer, and candidate Brandon Potthast were also present.

M. Bernius made a motion to enter into an Executive Session. Village President Ron Kingery seconded. The reason for the Executive Session was to interview applicants for the position of waste water plant operator. (Illinois Statutes, 5 ILCS 12012(c)(1)) The appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance" or dismissal of specific employees of the public body. All present voted YEA.

The regular session resumed. Committee Chair Bernius was present as well as President Kingery, Trustees T. Clark, K. Good and I. Dicks, and Village employee J. Mercer. B. Potthast left the meeting at the end of the Executive Session. Chairman Matt Bernius reopened the
meeting.

There was discussion regarding Brandon's experience, education, and how close he is to getting the other needed licenses and certifications needed for the Village's waste water plant.
Previously interviewed candidates and the total list of candidates were discussed.

President Kingery will make some follow-up phone calls for references on selected candidates.

Chairman Matt Bernius adjourned the meeting at 1:17 p.m.
