A Tourism Committee meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Arthur, IL, was held on Thursday, April 8, 2010. village President Ron Kingery called the meeting to order at 6:00pm. Roll call was answered by committee Members Iris Dicks, Marsha Bowyer, and George Fritz. Committee Members Sharon Daily and Anna Herschberger were absent.

One visitor, Rod Randall, President of the Arthur Area Association of Commerce. was present.

President Kingery reviewed the purpose of this committee meeting and previous expenditures. The balance in this account is $8,295.85.

R. Randall presented a budget and information regarding the Association's marketing plan for the year.

There was discussion about the AAAOC's budget and their upcoming expenses and the possibility of holding fundraisers to assist in supporting community events.

The group agreed to recommend to the Board to give $7,500 to the AAAOC.
